Certified Trainer: Callie Loyd

Callie Loyd is a certified professional dog trainer with more than a decade of experience, earning her CPDT-KA in 2018. With a Master’s degree in Psychology, she is able to utilize science-based training methods across dogs of all breeds and behavioral needs. She has taught all levels of obedience, as well as AKC Canine Good Citizen, Tricks classes, and service dog classes. She is also highly skilled in behavior modification, with experience in both in-home and board and train settings.

After more than 15 years working with dog rescues and fostering over 100 dogs, Callie gained experience with a wide range of dog breeds, ages, and temperaments but she became known as a bully breed specialist and it’s true; she does love bully breeds, currently owning two French bulldogs and an English bulldog.

Callie’s initial interest in dog training stemmed from her background in Psychology and her work in dog rescue, but the most influential factors were her first two dogs, Topper, an unique Frenchie mix, who touched hearts and whom she trained to be a service dog, and Billy, a Boston terrier mix who loved fiercely but had anxiety. The very different experiences learning to train a service dog and helping a dog dealing with anxiety shaped her work and their legacies live on as she strives to help every dog and dog parent have the kind of relationships she had with Topper and Billy.

Callie services clients in our in-town Atlanta area including Buckhead, Decatur, and Midtown.
