Delaney is a dedicated dog trainer with a passion for helping people understand the way their dogs think, learn, and experience the world. Her path to dog training began in an unexpected way, starting with a degree in Public Health Education and a lifelong love of teaching and connection. Everything changed when she adopted Scout, her reactive and fearful dog.

When Scout came home, Delaney quickly realized that love alone wasn’t enough to help her feel safe and confident in a busy, unpredictable world. Determined to support Scout, she dove headfirst into learning everything she could about dog behavior. She read countless books, watched training videos, attended seminars, and worked closely with a professional trainer. Through that process, she witnessed the power of positive, science-based training to transform not just a dog’s behavior, but their confidence and overall well-being.

Delaney started her relationship with Peach on a Leash as a client. Her trainer noticed her natural abilities and exceptional training mechanics and encouraged her to take her skills to the next level. She brings to our team an invaluable insight into the client experience and strives to ensure both the humans and the dogs she works with walk away with an excellent outcome.

That experience sparked a new passion for helping other people and their dogs navigate similar challenges. Drawing on her background in health education, Delaney brings strong communication skills, empathy, and a deep understanding of behavior change to her training work. She takes pride in breaking down complex behavioral concepts into simple, compassionate guidance that helps owners feel confident and connected with their dogs.

Today, Delaney focuses on helping dogs like Scout, dogs who may be fearful, reactive, or simply misunderstood learn to feel safe and capable in their environments. She believes every dog is doing the best they can with the tools they have, and that it’s our job to help them build new skills through trust, patience, and positive reinforcement.

Nothing brings her more joy than watching a dog and their person learn to communicate, build confidence, and grow together as a team.
