Certified Trainer: Sarah Barham

Sarah Barham, KPA-CTP, FFCT, moved from her hometown of Portland, OR to join our team! She graduated with a BS in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University, where she discovered her fascination with animal training during a marine mammal training internship. She continued in that field for a time, gaining experience using positive reinforcement methods with species like Pacific harbor seals and California sea lions, but once she made her way back to dogs, she was there to stay.

Sarah graduated with distinction from the renowned Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional program. She went on to work as a dog trainer for a facility in Portland, as a member of a behavior team at an animal shelter, and eventually started her own business as a trainer. Her 8 years of working with dogs including 4 years of professional dog training experience have shaped her into a skilled trainer using modern, ethical, science-based practices. She has continued her training journey by becoming a Fear Free Certified Trainer and is currently completing Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course, and has attended conferences for continued education including ClickerExpo.

She has three wonderful, large and spunky rescue dogs of her own and continues to support animal shelters with volunteer work.

Sarah serves in-home dog training clients in: Dunwoody, Brookhaven, Chamblee, Doraville, Buckhead, Atlanta
