Perhaps one of the most positive things to come from the COVID pandemic has been the rise of virtual dog training.
What was once primarily an in-person service has now become possible to do virtually, allowing trainers like us to help people from all over the world. If you're considering virtual dog training for your family, let us help answer some of the most common questions we're asked.
How Does Virtual Dog Training Work?
With our program, as long as you have access to a phone or computer with a camera and a working internet connection, you can access our expertise from anywhere in the world!
We utilize Zoom for our training sessions, allowing us to see you and your dog in action, and to coach you live.
Upon booking, you'll complete an enrollment form that lays out your goals for training and what you'd like to prioritize with your dog. Your trainer will come prepared with a plan for each session, and you'll always have an opportunity to ask questions or make requests about what you'd like to focus on that day.
The training is a combination of trainer-led instruction, where they may utilize their own dog to demonstrate things for you, and live coaching, where your trainer will guide you and your dog through the training steps and provide immediate feedback.
You'll always receive a copy of your session recording, as well as a written training plan to help guide you between sessions!
Is Virtual Dog Training as effective as in-person training?
Yes! We have found virtual training to be as effective as in-person training.
You'll receive the exact same guidance and instruction as our in-person programs, with the primary difference being that you will be the one handling your dog for the duration of training. And that alone can be extremely helpful to build your confidence and provide fast results at home.
Is my dog a candidate for Virtual Dog Training?
Whether you have a new puppy or an older dog, virtual training can work wonders to provide an obedience and manners foundation, help with puppy problems like play biting or potty training, solve behavioral problems, and answer all of your questions in a user-friendly, effective format.
What about aggression?
Believe it or not, some of the most complex cases of aggression, separation anxiety, and other behavioral problems can be tackled with a high level of efficiency using virtual training.
It's especially important in these types of cases that you, the dog owner, is empowered to take the lead on your dog's training and truly understand the principles behind our behavior modification protocols, so virtual dog training will give you all of the tools you need to do just that and see the results you're looking for.
